Admission Process
Admission to Mercy School For Special Learning is determined after review of the following:

Recent Reevaluations
Individual Education Plans
If applicable, additional information provided by the sending school or private evaluations

Final determination of admission is made by the principal.
Financial Aid
Families must complete an application via the Simple Tuition Solutions system to determine what scholarships they are eligible to receive. Parent pay is determined after financial information is reviewed. Mercy offers a very generous Scholarship and Tuition Assistance Program to help lessen the difference between parent pay and the cost to educate. We strive to assist families who find that Mercy provides the best educational option for their child.
We encourage all families to speak to their public school district officials about supporting their child’s education at Mercy if the district has determined it does not have reasonable placement for the student. Mercy also offers discounted rates for subsequent siblings. Mercy prioritizes the needs of the students and we are committed to providing individualized assistance to our families.
Tuition and Fees
The annual cost of tuition for the 2025 - 2026 school year is $29,500. However, majority of Mercy families do not pay this amount in full. We encourage all families to apply for financial aid, as assistance may be available to help reduce the overall cost. Financial aid awards are based on need and can significantly lower the amount a family is required to pay.
Transportation
Transportation is provided to Mercy School For Special Learning if you live within 10 miles of that district’s outer most boundary (PA Act 372). If your local school district is beyond the 10 miles range, contact your local district directly to see if transportation is possible. Many districts outside the boundary are willing to transport to Mercy.
